My Simple Skin Care Routine

My Simple Skin Care Routine

I’ve never been one to spend a lot of time on my skin care routine—I don’t even own makeup! But I do have a couple simple tricks that keep my skin looking great without much effort. Here’s how I do it:

Wash your face.

The first step to a healthy skin care routine is to wash your face. While this may seem obvious, it’s important to use the right products and techniques. The best way to ensure that you are doing so correctly is by using gentle cleansers, warm water and soft washcloths.

The second step in my simple skin care routine is washing one’s face twice per day: once in the morning when I wake up and again before going to bed at night. This keeps my pores clear of oil buildup and helps prevent acne breakouts (which I’ve struggled with since puberty).

While there are many different types of cleansers available for purchase at drugstores or department stores–some more expensive than others–I recommend using an inexpensive option like Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Bar ($5). It contains natural ingredients such as oatmeal which provide deep hydration while gently cleansing away dirt accumulated throughout the day without causing irritation like harsher soaps might do if applied too vigorously or used frequently enough (more than once per day).

Moisturize.

Moisturize.

Moisturizing is the most important step in skin care, as it helps to retain moisture and keeps your skin looking healthy. Apply a moisturizer after washing your face (or at night if you don’t cleanse). Choose an oil-free product that’s light and non-greasy, such as CeraVe Hydrating Facial Lotion SPF 30 or Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15. Don’t forget to moisturize other areas of your body like hands, arms and legs!

Exfoliate regularly.

Exfoliation is key for getting rid of dead skin cells, which can clog pores and cause acne. If you’re using a harsh scrub on your face too often, it can actually damage the surface of your skin, causing wrinkles and fine lines.

So how often should you exfoliate? That depends on what kind of products you use: if they have microbeads (which are bad), then once every two weeks; otherwise, once or twice per week is fine!

Use sunscreen every day, even on cloudy days or when you’re going to be inside all day.

  • Use sunscreen every day, even on cloudy days or when you’re going to be inside all day.
  • Sunscreen is the most important part of your skin care routine. It protects against UV rays that can cause skin cancer and prematurely age your skin. Even if it’s not sunny outside, UV rays still reach us through windows and other reflective surfaces (like sand), so it’s important to apply sunscreen every day–even if you’re going to be inside all day!

Drink plenty of water.

  • Drink plenty of water.

Water is good for your skin and overall health, so there’s no reason not to drink it. It helps you stay hydrated, reduces your risk of kidney stones, and can even help you lose weight by making you feel fuller faster (meaning you’ll eat less).

You don’t need a lot of products or time to keep your skin looking great!

Your skin care routine doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, it can be as easy as using a few products in the morning and evening.

It’s important that you’re consistent with your routine so that your skin has time to adjust and reap the benefits of what you’re doing for it. You can do this either at home or at work; just make sure that whatever product(s) you choose are portable enough for travel!

This routine is easy to follow and will help you achieve great skin. It only takes a few minutes each day, but the results are worth it!
